today i visited the opening of the tsym art sputnik fair, where everybody could buy some contemporary russian art as a new year present starting from 200 euros. well, if i had spare 200 euros this evening i'd probably brought smth from olga soldatova artworks from beads, they are so beautiful! however the price on them must had been heaps more then 200 euros))
Nika Chernyaeva was born in 1985 in Moscow, Russia. Graduated the Sociology department of Moscow State University. Started her career in the art sphere firstly as a manager – in 2008 worked in the organizing committee of Russian Design Show, in 2009 held a PR-campaign for Luc Tuymans’ exhibition at Baibakov art project, Moscow. Later joined the team of the 3rd Moscow Biennale of contemporary art; worked with Spencer Tunick as a shooting producer of his 'Moscow Individuals' project. Till spring 2010 was a PR manager of Art&Auction Russia magazine. Later held PR campaigns for II Moscow international biennale for young art "Qui Vive", international design festival Design Act and Russian film festival Kinotavr. After that was invited as PR and marketing Director at ArtChronika Art Foundation (Artchronika magazine, Kandinsky Prize). In 2011 graduated from the Institute of Contemporary Art in Moscow. In 2012 was awarded a grant to study at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London (painting course and an abstraction courses). At the moment studies at the painting department of Stroganov State Academy of Art. Lives and works in Moscow.
