What if black holes in cosmos turn everything that gets into them into music? I was thinking what is there behind black holes, how do they look like from the other side? 'They become music', - told me one person who is closer to cosmos then anyone else. And it really makes sence to me now - this is what I was trying to depict in these artworks)

Tomorrow I will have my first class of watercolours, and it is pretty exciting! Preparing for it I found 2 drawings I've made when I was a kid - here they are. Since that time I haven't practiced watercolours any more :))

My first artwork from the Neopollock set was made 2 years ago and that time I didn't know the artist named Jackson Pollock - all I knew was that the amount of nail polish I had in my collection was becoming dangerous, and far too much for my small nails, that's why I decided to find some new ways for using it. So this is how the idea was born, and this is how I met Pollock - my more educated friends told me about him when they saw my artwork. It was really hard for them to believe someone don't know about Pollock. Anyway, I kept working in the same style, but named the set in his honor. May be if he was a girl he would have used nail polish too...

What was yesterday? War in Iraq, war in Afghanistan, war in Chechnya, war in South Ossetia, the armed confrontation of Israel with the Arabic world, bombing of Lebanon, invasion of Libya. Even the earthquake in Japan was discussed in terms of the biological weapons war. Everyone in the worlds calls wars archaism, unworthy of our civilization, but as long as you turn the TV on, it turns out, that our today is an endless incessant war. The category of "peace" loses ground, capitulates to the new armed conflicts. Russian word МИР which means peace is spelled very similar to the English WAR. Is it a coincidence? And after all, what expects us tomorrow? War again?

KURYOKHIN PRIZE EXHIBITION

I went to Piter for the exhibition opening of Kuryokhin Prize, where I was long-listed this year. The winners will be announced only in March, but it was already very exciting to be among finalists, expecially knowing that I share the same nomination with my favorite Russian artists AES+F. It's a great honor for me!

KURYOKHIN PRIZE

Amazing news! I was longlisted to one of the most important Russian art prizes - Kuryokhin prize!!! Now will participate in the exhibition of finalists on December 22 in St Petersburg! Will keep you informed :)))

JUST DREAM IT

And here is the second artwork that I made for Martini Art Club and that was also awarded!

Concept: The Old Testament sais: "Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways" (The Book Of Job, 22:28). Today the theories of the future visualization have become so popular that books on this topic are published with the millions of copies. "Just dream it" project is an experiment that is aimed to check that law on practice. The project is based on a double substitution - the artist has invented a script of his future and represents it as something that had already happened in reality. Thus the artwork consists of the documents proving the events as if they have already happened.

In the process of work on the project I decided to make it a bit more complicated and have added some proofs of the events that were not made up by me but actually happened in reality. All those event used to be my dreams before, and one day just came true one by one. I wanted to emphasize that the border between a dream and reality is very unstable and you never know what dream of yours will become true tomorrow.
