Chaos theory is a field of study in mathematics, with applications in several disciplines including physics, engineering, economics, biology, and philosophy. Chaos theory studies the behavior of dynamical systems that are highly sensitive to initial conditions, an effect which is popularly referred to as the butterfly effect. Small differences in initial conditions (such as those due to rounding errors in numerical computation) yield widely diverging outcomes for chaotic systems, rendering long-term prediction impossible in general. This happens even though these systems are deterministic, meaning that their future behavior is fully determined by their initial conditions, with no random elements involved. In other words, the deterministic nature of these systems does not make them predictable. This behavior is known as deterministic chaos, or simply chaos.
today i visited the opening of the tsym art sputnik fair, where everybody could buy some contemporary russian art as a new year present starting from 200 euros. well, if i had spare 200 euros this evening i'd probably brought smth from olga soldatova artworks from beads, they are so beautiful! however the price on them must had been heaps more then 200 euros))
several days ago i was at the opening of rainer werner fassbinder installation. it was held at moscow contemporary art center winzavod. the project consists of 14 parts of 1 movie, about one hour each. so if you want to watch all movie it will take about 15 hours, which is sad cause it's pretty cold at winzavod in winter and i could hardly spent half an hour there) it would be better if such exhibition was organised in summer on some open area where u can spent the whole weekend watching all episodes one by one)
today we drank nice absolut coctails at the damien hirst exhibition opening in moscow triumph gallery. 30 printed skulls of different colores each one of 15 copies, this time without any dimonds but this is due to the cryses i suppose)
about one year ago i was working in the organizing committee of the russian design show - international art and design event. it was a great project to work at, we organized russian master-classes of frank gehry, arne quinze, nina campbell, alain moatti and the guys i completely fell in love with - fernando and humberto campana! it was also a great opportunity for russian audience to see the artworks of rolf sachs, arman, tom dixon, david adjaye, herve van der straeten, zaha hadid and many many others! 
have you seen the movie maria antoinette? i love that movie, it has the best costums and decorations ever! and if u look carefully at one of the scenes u'll notice a converse boot among fancy old-fashioned shoes with ribbons and bows)) or everyone except me has already known that?;)

in 2008 a group of russian artists have gathered anonymously into the art group tanatos banionis. among all projects they've made my favorite one is divine wind. the thing was that 5 girls had agreed to sacrifice their backs for the huge tattoos, dedicated to the portraying of the heroic deeds of 5 japanese kamikadze. the exhibition was held in moscow museum of contemporary art and included photos of model's backs, video of the tattos making process, movie about kamikadze and many other interesting things. in one word, it was amazing))
i made this photo in sydney not far from the bondi beach, it was the most beautiful cemetery i've ever seen!

this artwork i've dedicated to the 3rd moscow biennale of contemporary art, it was inspired by one of the main project's paintings american whale and black square by pavel pepperstein. i uses badges for artists as a background, torn the invitations for the main project opening for the lines in the right side, used stickers with artists names for one side of the corner, and printed artworks of pusto project for the other. newspaper used in the upper corner is with article about biennale, and the 'eye' was made from the pin that was made for biennale visitors by afisha publishing house. black square in the middle in a fragment of invitation for the special biennale guest opening - present-past by olga chernysheva.
it's me on the opening of luc tuyman's exрibition in moscow art space baibakov art projects, which is located on the ex-chocolate factory red october - it is now tunred into the art area because goverment moved all factories away from the city closer to the suburbs. on the one hand it's very right, but i live in the area of this factory and when i was a child i used to pass that embankment where it stands on my way to school an if the wind was right it always smelled like chocolate)) and i stopped there and smelled it like charlie from roald dahl's book)) good memories))
it's funny - my dad gifted me a little sculpture of vladimir putin as a joke long ago)) i liked that white head and it used to stand at the place where i draw for a long time)) now i lost it, as many other things that disappear in my studio))
this summer i was in venice at the 53th biennale of contemporary art, and it was really amazing)) i think i'll make several posts about that later, just to share fotos and impressions, they were really great))
