Today is the day! Our 1st issue of the new-born Artchronika magazine is ready! We are so proud of the result! Rebranding of the magazine is finished - we did it!!! Check out the first new cover :)

Just finished working on a PR-campaign of the exhibition "Time Ahead?", unfortunately there were no publications in English, so all I can share with you is this report in arabic - may be someone will understand that :)

An international design festival offers a smorgasbord of artistic endeavours

KINOTAVR

i didn't write for a while because i was out of moscow working at 21 open russian film festival kinotavr. for the second time i go there as a vip guest manager. but since many people already know that apart from job im an artist, the kinotavr daily magazine has asked me for a little interview, i have it only in russian, but still cant help boasting a little bit :)

DREAM JOB

im already used to various job offers that find me very often. i dont accept the majority of them because ive decided for myself that i dont want to spend my life in stuffy offices 24 hours a day, i just cant live like that any more. but sometimes its extremely hard to say no, like it was today, when i was offered a position of pr manager of barbados island in russia))

SMALL MOSCOW OFFICE

made some photos of the editorial office of the russian art magazine iskusstvo, where i spent all saturday. 

i like such small spaces, they feel like home, especially with such sweat artworks on the walls)) i can imagine how i make tea in this tiny kitchen after finishing writing some long article about the exhibition i've seen on the weekend and discassing with colleagues some arty gossip. sometimes i wish i didn't change profession and proceeded with journalism)

BYE BYE 2009

today i was thinking about the year that had just passed, and realised how great it was) in july i had an honor to assist spencer tunick while he made moscow individuals project for the biennale and he is so so great, we had awesome times making all those crazy naked photos in moscow streets)) then i met luc tuymans when i worked in the biennale press center and it was also an honor to work with him too! i also went to venice and for the first time in my life have seen the biennale of contemporary art there, and for the first time went to london where i've seen tate, serpentine and saatchi galleries, i've also travelled to melbourne and sydney and have seen many museums and galleries there, and in early winter i joined the team of art+auction russia which is the honour again)) the only thing that i regret is that in summer i passed the creative exams to st martins college of art and design in london but due to some private circumstances i didnt move there to study, now i realize that i should have done that despite all! anyway it was a great year and my new year wish is the next one to be at least the same)))

RUSSIAN DESIGN SHOW

about one year ago i was working in the organizing committee of the russian design show - international art and design event. it was a great project to work at, we organized russian master-classes of frank gehry, arne quinze, nina campbell, alain moatti and the guys i completely fell in love with - fernando and humberto campana! it was also a great opportunity for russian audience to see the artworks of rolf sachs, arman, tom dixon, david adjaye, herve van der straeten, zaha hadid and many many others!

the essence of the project was to decorate 6 houses of one gated community with the artpieces we've brought from the galleries all over the world such as albion gallery, sebastian+barquet gallery, galerie italienne, carpenters workshop gallery, contrasts gallery, galerie kleo etc. there were 6 theme houses - ecohouse decorated by giancarlo alhadeff, designer's house, russian house, nina campbell house, alain moatti and henri riviere house and a house, decorated by phillips de pury and company. 

1ST POST))

today, on the 1st of november, 3rd moscow biennale of contemporary art has been officially closed. it started on september 25 and was supposed to last till 25th of october, but due to the extraordinary amounts of people willing to attend the main project in the center of contemporary culture garage, it was a bit prolonged. i was working in the organizing team of the main project, curated by jean-hubert martin, also helped spencer tunick to organize his moscow shooting, worked in press center of biennale and made a media campaign of the first russian excibition of luc tuymans, organized by baibakov art projects. unfortunally i didn't have time to make blog during the biennale, but that was the time when i realised that moscow is becoming more and more close to the world art prosesses, and i decided to share some arty news from russia, we have lots of things going on here))
