im already used to various job offers that find me very often. i dont accept the majority of them because ive decided for myself that i dont want to spend my life in stuffy offices 24 hours a day, i just cant live like that any more. but sometimes its extremely hard to say no, like it was today, when i was offered a position of pr manager of barbados island in russia))

ART LOGISTICS

it turned out that you can't just send any piece of art by fedex, even if it's made by your own hands! before that you have to go to the russian ministry of culture and undergo an examination by experts that your artwork can be sent out of russia, which is pretty annoying+)

THE ANNYA SAND PRIZE

great news!!! i've just recieved a letter informing me that i was shortlisted for the annya sand prize! now i urgently have to send my neopepperstein to london because at the 9th of june at the private view of the russian, eastern and oriental fine art fair there will be a show of finalist's artworks and the winner will be announced! what is known already is that in spite of results all finalists will participate in a group exhibition in march 2011 in london! fingers are crossed))

NEOMALEVICH II

this is a new artwork i've made under the influence of kazemir malevich. i think his black square will be an eternal sourсe of inspiration for me) the size of this canvas is 50x50 cm, i've made flowers from the pink glossy bag i was given as a free present when i brought a spring issue of spanish marie claire in barcelona several weeks ago)) yellow dots i've made from a tweed rounds that stick to furniture, i have a passion for that silly things and there is quite a few of them in my studio) i think it's a crime to hide such nice little rounds under the legs of a table or chair and art is more suitable way to use them)

RUSSIA AT EUROVISION 2010

peter nalitch is the best singer ever, i don't expect him to win the eurovision 2010 because good songs rarely win there, all i know is that he is the best))

NEOMALEVICH

all my artworks are made under the influence of my inner conditions. this one is very symbolic. not long ago i was working in a perfect company - a publishing house that issued glossy magazines about culture, fashion and art. one of the magazines was called 'blacksquare', i've written about it before in this blog. not long ago the company got bankrupt and was closed, all staff was thrown out without paying any salary debts which in my case was big enough to efford not working for about half a year. i've made this artwork, the very first black one in my life, from the pencils marked with the magazine logo 'blacksquare', made it in the shape of malevich 'black square' which i consider to be one of the most depressing artworks ever made. this is how the art is born)
